NORTH HAVEN — A one-room house built in 1802 and expanded to four bedrooms is on the market for $749,000 on Ridge Road.

The 3,053 square-foot home is on 1.76 acres at  2222 Ridge Road.

The property last sold in June and was listed for sale again about two weeks ago.

The former Joel E. Bassett House was gutted and renovated to add four bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms.

“An expansive open floor plan features elegant dark hardwood floors, coffered ceilings, and recessed lighting,” the Seabury-Hill Realtors listing describes. “The kitchen is a dream come true, with an enormous marble center island, custom cabinets, new high-end stainless steel appliances, and Carrara tile backsplash.”

The great room features a gas fireplace with white-washed brick, and connects to a formal dining room and kitchen for an open-space design.

On the first level, there is a “three season” sunroom with French doors and an attached two-car garage. There are two master bedroom suites with full bathrooms on the second floor.
